Setting up your experience templates

Marty Doupe -

Now that you've chosen your experience...

You need to set up your templates. This is a one-time process, and the templates you create will be available to you each time you create content. (But don't fret—you can always add more templates later, should you need to!) If you aren't sure of all of the experience available, review this before going any further

All templates are fully customizable; while we offer great out-of-the-box solutions, you are more than welcome to make your templates your own with custom HTML, CSS and/or JavaScript. Just use the TopHTML field

What is a white label?

ScribbleLive can host a white label (or multiple white labels!) for your brand or organization that all content produced in ScribbleLive can be published to—think of it as a microsite that will host all of your engaging content. White labels are fully indexable, making them a great option for driving great SEO with great content.

How do I set one up?

The white label look-and-feel is completely controlled by you. Please see this how-to for getting your white label up and running. We will need you to CNAME a subdomain to us and provide our team with a live template page off of which your white label will be based. Note that once we have all of the information we need from you, it will take approximately ten business days for our implementation team to complete your white label.

White labels have to be purchased from your account executive. Should you wish to purchase additional white labels, no worries—just drop us a line at support@scribblelive.com and we will get you in touch with your exec.

Some examples & best practices

Toronto International Film Festival built a custom white label for festival coverage and behind-the-scenes access to the stars, the films and the stories.

Pro tip: Build your white label into your main nav so that all of the content on it is accessible to your regular website audience.

Things to keep in mind

All of ScribbleLive's embed codes use JavaScript to get the experience on the page. This allows our technology to communicate better with the page and is what allows the experiences to become responsive as the page size scales down for different devices.

Some content management systems, though, will strip JavaScript for security purposes. Scribble does offer an iframe version of the embed for the stream experience only. Should you run into this issue but would like to use our experiences that are only offered via JavaScript please talk to your system administrator to configure your CMS to accept our script tags.
